your knowing, glowing, heart

Sometimes,
no one
around you
will understand
your heart.

And that’s okay,
because truth be told,
there are
some places,
only you
can go.

The deep realizations,
the soul healings,
the touching,
tender,
tussled
moments

That no matter
how eloquent
how devoted
how true you are
to the story
of your experience.

To hold your breath
waiting for another
to understand
the sheer
bodily
being
of your truth
in the moment

Can rob you
of the life
you finally
allowed yourself
to exhaled for.

I love you,
and I wish
I could tell you
that everyone
you love
will validate
and voraciously
receive
the significance
of your story

But that
would not
be true.

Find grace
and gratidude
in the souls
who cherish
your words
and hold
your heart.

Find solace
in the souls who swim
along the current
of your knowing
glowing
heart.

They are
your kin
your reminders
for that which
we seek
to remember
within
ourselves.

A friend
once told me

in fact,
by once,
i mean
today

that sometimes
the healing
we seek to do
alone

in the safety
of our own
separated
psyches

Can only
truly
be done
in connection
with another.

That to truly
allow ourselves
to unravel
and for just
a moment
not hold
it all
together

we need another

we need the stability
of another’s arms
to realize
we do not
always need
to hold ourselves
together

sometimes
we can be
supported
by backs
made of
others’
bones

sometimes
i can just
be
weak

worn down
wishing
i could melt
into the earth
and forget
that anything
exists

except for
these tears
on these checks
these arms
in this embrace
this moment
this breath

and I am here
present
letting go
realizing
the amount
of time
of space
of precious
moments
available
to me

waiting
to be realized
as love.

home.

i
am
home

again.
